Can I please Borrow a stuffer?
« on: December 14, 2023, 12:08:09 PM »
Does anyone around Lake Stevens area have a meat stuffer I could borrow for a day or so?  I bought some frozen turkeys on sale along with pork butts.  I ordered seasoning kits with the plans of using my meat grinder with the stuffing attachments.  It is going to take me WAY to long.  I would really appreciate if I could borrow one.  Please!!!!

One thing I have noticed, when using a grinder to stuff sausage.
Is you have to take the plate and cutter off.
Your basically just using the auger to run the meat through it.
I'm not sure if every grinder has that attachment.
Mine is plastic, with two big holes on each side, take off plate and blades, replace with plastic plate two big holes, sausage stuffing tube.
So that your just using auger and tube.
Granted it still does not replace a stuffer.

Not sure if that helps or not.

I'm not close enough to help but...

It kind of strikes me as a good opportunity for a community "Would Like To Borrow" thread. I have plenty of items that I'd be willing to lend to responsible members in need rather than having to go buy something to do a project or what not. I know I've already loaned my tire chains to a random member that was going on a hunt and was just looking to have a set of chains just in case.

Are you trying to stuff casings or just stuff ground into 1lb (or whatever size you do) into packaging for the freezer?

I can hook you up if you don't mind a crank stuffer - let me know when you need it and we can arrange a meet up

If Sled ever needs to borrow something you should loan it to him. He returned my stuffer with a whole shopping bag filled with good things to eat. Thanks again Sled.
