2024 Bear hunting question...please help.

Figured I'd look through the online regulations before purchasing.
It's says August 1 opening.
Commission had been discussing September 1.
Sorry if this has been discussed already.

A lot of back pedaling going on lately.
Is the August 1 opening a typo.
Or did they back pedal?

With Cougar being a huge question mark.
Bear not sure when it opens.

It's hard for me to go forward with my licence purchases.

That would be a bummer. We will have to make sure we tag out on bear this year just in case.
