I read that. They are beginning to experience what Washington ranchers have been experiencing for ten years.
Nature. It's cheaper than therapy.

Reading the article it says 15 wolves from Washington? Shouldn’t they be taking them off the list and us to be able to hunt them before they start “donating “ them to others

:yeah: Same as an admission that they know they are not endangered!

But no doubt there will never be any hunting of Wolves!

I beleive the wolves in question would come off the Colville reservation. Not technically Washington State wolves. And seeing as how the Colvilles had 40 some wolves on their reservation last year, and their hunters killed 20 some of those, I don’t know how they would come up with 15 more at the drop of a hat.
The more I hear from this Colorado game dept, the more I think they are making this stuff up as they go. To the detriment of Colorado’s wildlife and ag.
( These wolf numbers I quote are ballpark)

The wolf population probably doubled or tripled this spring plus wolves are moving around all the time, its nothing for more wolves to move onto the reservation or for new pups to fill any voids where wolves were removed. Five or six females could easily produce 20 to 30 or more pups.

If that's where Colorado is getting their wolves, I think the tribe will be laughing all the way to the bank! Maybe they can exchange some wolves for more antelope or sheep, agencies swap wildlife all the time, there's no question in my mind about who comes out ahead on a trade involving wolves!

APHIS should deny BC import on health alone.  Colorado is still talking about individual wolves, they are likely beyond that with no idea what they have or where it is.  Just keep throwing $$$ at them CO.  It sure works great in WA, not.

Very good comments from Richards.
BC wolves are just wolves that have dispersed from the NE Washington Wolf hatchery program.
