Lots of stuff that works well. I have an old bolt action Ruger 7 mag that loves anything that says Federal Premium. It has worked very well on elk since the 1970’s topped with an old Leopold 3x9.Just no having to adjust aim points. Also have a Knight Disc Extreme that is very impressive with accuracy and killing power with 3-50 grain pellets. What trips my trigger though, Nlnja warfare in SW.Wa. Shoot a Rosie bull at 15 to 20 feet wiih a rifled barreled shotgun. I have 2 Savage slug guns that are the *censored* for restricted units. One has a fixed box the newer one has a clip. Three shots and no worry about getting wet. The 3x9 during modern is another bonus. My slug of choice was discontinued. A 375 grain hollow point Cor-Loct Ultra was devastating at those ranges. Spelling may be wrong there but the kids in our group were killing elk at 200 plus with Fibre optic sights. I prefer the up close and personal, I like to smell them before I shoot them. Best of the WEST is pathetic
