MR5X5 and I have known each other for over 25 years.
We've hunted elk and turkeys together just a little.......    ;)

Make sure you have a good first aid kit for the pup and be prepared to pull porcupine quills.  My dog has gotten into one two years in a row and last year I talked to several hunters that had their dogs get a face full.
