Good opener
« on: September 22, 2024, 09:04:02 AM »
We got out for the opener yesterday & we were pleasantly surprised. We were expecting to be riding the struggle bus in terms of number of birds because the fish & game people reported the numbers if birds isn’t very good this year.  But, it turned out that there were a lot of birds in the area. We ended up with a two man limit in about 2-1/2 hours. Haley didn’t have a great day, she just didn’t seem to want to do what she’s supposed too. We’ll get out for some training this week & try to get past that.

Nice hunting, that is one good thing for youth season is they get first crack on the hatch birds that don’t exist during breeding surveys for the most part.

This is NODAK and not WA, I'm pretty sure this is their general season. The birds dont hang around for 6 feet of ice to form on their lakes, so the seasons start and end earlier than they do here.
What country can preserve it's liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon & pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants.

It was our general opener. The youth/veteran opener was the 14th. I didn’t make it out for the veteran opener this year because of an issue with my truck.l

People keep sneaking alien hunts into our state forum.  Oh well, all the other waterfowl forums must of died.

I’m not totally alien! I lived in Washington 40 years before I moved in 2020
