#11 primers to 209
509muley:
Does anyone know if I’m sighted in with #11 primers and switch to 209’s if that will affect it? I’m on a time crunch and need to verify my muzzleloader after work but the nearest 209 primers are a drive away. Thanks!

IMO yes you will need to , hotter ignition faster burn = POI change
Are you using blackhorn powder?

:yeah: Depending on your range may or may not matter.
Curious as to why you're switching unless there has been a recent failure to fire issue. I think some people switch to try and prevent a non-existent issue or one that is typically preventable with proper cleaning & maintenance. :twocents:

100% agree. Pretty hard to beat a RWS #11 cap.

At this point don’t change, I’d just go with an 11
