Duck blind ideas?
Platensek-po:
Ok so I have kind of a difficult question. I’m looking for ideas on how to set up a blind on my 16ft whitewater raft. The main difficulty is that it’s bright blue on top
Of the tubes. It’s 16ft long and 7.5ft wide and does have an oar frame on it. Ideally it would be able to be set up and removed without a ton of work as I probably
Can’t float with it attached. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I honestly think the effort put in won't produce and the idea will create a lot of frustration.

I would use long shockcorded tent poles. Two or three, make pvc pockets for the pole ends.
Bend them dome like over the raft. Where they cross on top tape with gorilla tape.
Use lite weight cover. Tale down when moving.
I do this over my utility trailer for covered storage I. Hunting camp.

This is really interesting actually! I might look at this especially since I have extra tent poles.
I also understand it might be a waste of time. But I am always looking for ways to incorporate the raft into hunting.

Go buy some 1.5” and pipes fittings and glue. Build a square frame along floor with Ts that come up in corners and some in the middle for support. The t’s come up to a wall along the sides. Drap canvas or mesh along the walls with excess to over bow and stern/motor. We leave frame in all season and take it out with ease (weighs 10 lbs) if you zig zag paracord along walls you can permanently attach blind material to it and leave it in during transport with fabric on. Abs does really well in the cold days and doesn’t break while still maintaining some flex. We even bungee the two walls tight together while hunting so it encloses the top.
