Rosette Nebula
boneaddict:
Last nights project. Flame nebula and Horsehead nebula. The bright star is the easternmost star in Orion’s Belt.

And a closer crop of the Horsehead nebula

Those are very cool pictures, most years I will scan the skies with my spotting scope at night at hunting camp. Never seeing anything like that but it is still pretty neat. No idea other than the moon what I’m looking at.

Great shots, Doug. Check out this webpage of a friend of mine. He's got the telescope for it. https://www.facebook.com/search/top?q=eric%20hahl%20photography
By the way, I couldn't find antlers in any of those shots. I think you're slipping!
