Do cell cameras get stolen less?

People suck.

This was my concern, they spot it and return at a later date from behind to disarm/turn off the camera. I understand the reasoning of stealing the camera if they will get a benefit out of the SD card/pictures, but when all your accomplishing is screwing over the camera owner, well I guess some people are just jerks.

Yep many of these people are coming in and out under the cover of darkness, camera trips, infrared lights come on and they see the camera location. Come back later and trash the camera.  I have had multiple cameras trashed. All on private property. I’m sure that increases the risk of getting them trashed, they don’t want to get punished for trespassing so to cover that crime they commit another one of damaging property as well. I’m sure they aren’t stealing the cell cameras to use them, they are stealing them to cover their tracks and give themselves free rein of the property until I get them replaced. Hunting season and especially shed hunting season are when I see the most trespassing and damage.

Damn, that is just such BS!  I bet when you retire it will be a goal of your to catch them, go complete Rambo on their butts.

I have a very poor opinion of shed hunter now. They seem to hate trappers.

Pinetar:
I know a guy that had his house robbed. They stole all his guns, (no safe) TV, stereo, 2 cell trail cams and lots of other valuables. About a week later one of his cell cams pinged and the cops busted the thief sitting in his car in Safeway's parking lot playing with one of his cams  He eventually got everything back but some jewelry and the shotgun that he had cut down.
