High Buck Tripod Selection

BigredRusch:
Leupold Alpine-425 with a Smallrig C10 head. Honestly, I would like to upgrade to a heavier duty tripod for most glassing. I like bigger optics.

I like this one... its cheap, lightweight, small form factor... what more could you want

yakimanoob:
There are indeed lots of great options.

I have the Vanguard Veo2 Carbon. Dollar for dollar and ounce for ounce, I don't know that there's a better one on the market (that is, once you realize the terrible, springy rubber feet that come on the tripod can be removed).

Good luck on the high buck!

Glassing tripod is pretty necessary on a backcountry mule deer hunt.

The pack works well for that also.

Think I'm going on 9 or 10 years with the slik 624. WP nighthawk head, pretty solid setup for the weight.
