Unknown Suppressors - Whisper Pickle
pickardjw:
Anyone else going to pick up an Unknown Suppressors Whisper Pickle when they come out this summer? Most of the info about them is spread out between podcasts, Rokslide posts, and other social media.
Synopsis: 8" reflex (4" in front of barrel, 4" over the barrel), titanium printed can with two ID options for thinner/thicker barrel profiles, threaded 5/8-24, sub 140db (think they're already hitting mid 130's hoping to get a little lower through prototyping) and a lot of focus on tone to eliminate the higher pitch "ting" in a lot of Ti cans. Designed and printed in Post Falls, ID.
Price point is going to be $999.

They haven't really specified distribution. @dreadi if you're able to get some I know myself and a buddy are in for one each, maybe a couple other guys.

Hard pass for me.
Sundance:
I think a tabletop review would be interesting, 4" of can that wraps the barrel is odd. Maybe they are using it for the blast chamber by diverting gas backwards along the barrel? I'd want to know how many baffles, is it a flow through design or tradition cones with clips, also looks to have a small distal end. Get that reviewed by Pew Science and Joey Longo and see where it stacks up.
Also, not much of an original name, 50% of the Form1 22 cans are probably named Whisper Pickle, I know I've got one.
Macs B:
The Brits use a similiar design in large caliber huntiing rifle suppressors. They are typically an equal length over the barrel as beyond the muzzle. Makes for a much more compact system.
