Reattached everything good and made sure I had battery power. Checked the brake and blades. Checked the solenoid connection and fuse again. Smacked the starter a few times with a hammer. It fired up, sputtered and ran. Will see how she goes
Thanks to everyone who commented and gave suggestions

If it started when you smacked the starter, it needs a starter.
Or are you saying you did all those things and then it starter? If so it would have been good to do one thing at a time so you know what solved the issue.

That's great news. Feels good fixing something and saving money.

Mine this spring was battery. It had juice, just not enough juice to crank, and wouldnt take any charge. It would run if I jumped it. Battery was 3 years old. I replaced it and all is well

Ignition coil on mine. Easy fix

I did all those things at once. Then it started. Guessing the starter is going out. It’s a 20 year old rider
