im going to throw the sulastic shackles on the back...supposedly makes it ride more like a 1/2 ton.
what year/budget are you looking at getting into?

New, and no specific budget. But I have no need for a decked out truck. I'd actually prefer and and XL or XLY in the Ford or a WT or Custom in the Chevy.

Hasn't their pick up won Motor Trends Truck of the Year for like 10 years running?

Ya, I just don't have any Dodge love for whatever reason. Unless it has a 440 Six-Pack!

Out of the gas variety at least until 2016, dodge preformed the worst, chevrolet was a dramatic step up, but at the end of the day, the fords did the best. All 3/4 tons mind you.

I will personally say. I had a 01 silverado 2500hd 6.0 v8 and loved it for the ride quality.

Then I fell into a 2012 f-250 superduty 6.2 gas and It tows SO much better than my chevrolet did, both trucks are extended cab, 4 wheel drive, short box pickups.
The ford has substantially more power, but thr ride is very harsh.
Understandably, it's not a true apples to apples comparison.
We have alot of newer 3/4ton trucks at work, chevrolets and fords, and I honestly would say if you want the ride quality go with a chevrolet, if you don't mind a stiffer riding truck, go with the Ford.

Thanks Irish. Appreciate the input.

Whatever you get, get it with the adaptive cruise control and navigation. The new Ford F250 Super Baja edition is just out of my price range at $150K.

Bigtine96:
6.6 Silverado gas all day, great comfortable powerful truck.
