Well deserved then. Thanks for your service. I live in La Grande and spend a fair amount of time in the Elk woods. Ill keep my eyes peeled for a giant.

I'd focus on finding my bull in late July in the Walla walla or wenaha. Start with the south fork, yellowjacket etc. For the Wenaha start with the Milk shakes at Indian springs and hike from there. Bulls will still be together. Get in shape join a gym with a stair climber in it and put your pack on. Do the tag some justice it's probably one of the best in the country.
