He chased a doe around it for about 20 minutes, so I took all sorts of images, but I liked the rock as an accent piece.

That is such a great photo. Definite resemblance for sure. It's really neat to see all the deer that have similar characteristics. I have noticed some with similar shape, one dominant being bucks with blades antlers. We have a few more days left here and I am hoping we get to see a few more amazing bucks. We have been spending our time in the hills grouse hunting, so there's not the likelihood we will see many deer, with the dogs.
Thank you for sharing that picture, it is very cool to see the bloodlines. I would guess you're spot on!

This photo was taken a couple years ago within walking distance of where your photo with the buck was taken.  A likely bloodline candidate.

You sure this isn't the same buck? That drivers side antler configuration is spot on
I agree I think that’s the same buck-
Idk how many years apart it’s
Been but I think that’s the same buck

Congratulations! Such a great deer!
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!

This is the kind of brutality they survive. Who knows what damage was done to the pedicle as the antler was ripped from their skull. Likely if he survives, he’d look similiar to your buck.  They have an incredible story.

Wow. They are sure tough beings. Yes, such a great story behind each one. I think some underestimate their strength.
