Sauk Unit Youth Elk Tips |
(1/2) > >> |
Practical Approach:
My son drew the Sauk youth elk unit this year. I am somewhat familiar with the mix of private and public land along the Skagit River, which is where I believe most of the elk in that unit reside. Anyone hunt this area or have tips for a youth hunter. I welcome any advice you can offer. |

Start now and go knock on the farmers doors there’s several that will help you out |

Sounds like you're on the right track as that's where they are most heavily concentrated and/or most frequently seen. Shoot me a PM when you're in the area and we.can talk more. HH |
Ridgerunner:
I agree the sooner the better, private access is key although there is some forest service land up there. |
Hunting Cowboy:
There is some public land access but gaining access to hunt private property is a huge advantage. I would get started knocking on doors ASAP. I sent you a message. |
