Freshwater Bay itself is closed from Bachelor Rock East to Angles Point.  What most people refer to as Freshwater Bay is actually outside the bay from Bachelor Rock west to Tongue Point.

Thanks again for all this info. I believe I will do a short trip up August 5-8 and then about ten days in September.
