20Ga Load Testing - Need different shells
brokentrail:
bump in case anyone else has some loads I could test.
brokentrail:
Bumping one more time as I have the new red dot for this gun and I will be starting my load testing once late season is over. If you have any 20Ga turkey shells and are relatively close to me, I would purchase one or two from you to see how it patterns with this choke. Thanks in advance.
brokentrail:
In case it helps someone else... The 20Ga 870 I was working on for a new turkey gun originally had a Carlson's .575 flush mount choke tube in it. I patterned both Longbeard XR #6's and Apex GT-20 #9's through it at 40 yards and wasn't impressed nor happy with either pattern. I ordered a Carlson's ported extended .568 longbeard XR choke and patterned both again at 40 yards. I am happy with both patterns now, either will kill a turkey, and of course the TSS is a more dense pattern than the Longbeard XR.

Tss is the way to go but longbeard xr will do the job as well! my son shot two longbeards last year with longbeard xr. chokes and shells all shoot different just have to find the one she likes best.
