I dont think $18 is going to reduce applicants who had to buy a non refundable ~$200 license to apply for 'free'.  :dunno:

Exactly. If this was about skin in the game they’d just do full tag fee up front and no choice whether to buy or not after drawing instead of having 4 separate deer/elk draws plus returns

200 dollar non refundable license wasn't skin in the game?
This is a cash grab that they realized they could add on.  Honestly I think it'll keep increasing it until the applicants level off or decrease....they're trying to find how far they can take it before the demand levels off or drops.

Not really, there is a HUGE population of hunters that are playing the western states game to the tune of $4K - $10k a year. A $200 license is nothing.

Nothing like hunters against hunters... People are still gonna apply in large numbers lol.
