Heading to the Big horns in August. That portion of the trip is for a gathering of friends from eastern Montana and North Dakota. My ask is that, West of the Big Horns to pass Cody looking for elk hunting area's. I have 10 points currently for elk. This is for a 2027 trip if drawn. Will reach out to some outfits but got enough gear and to do a DIY but with the understanding that at 70 it's a hell alot of work. Terrain is a migrating factor. I'm not a horn hunter preference is meat not monsters. My wife and I will also be chasing a Rodeo or two. Any suggestions would be appreciated. To those planning a 26 hunt good luck. |

The big question for your points is going to be regular draw or are you coughing up the $2k for a special tag? That makes a fairly significant difference in unit availability at your point level |

You will be right there for the big horn units . 40-60% or so with the regular at 10 points. |
