Yakima Buffalo

Ridgeratt:
Now my Kids and Grandkid are playing. Grandkid took 3rd (consolation)place this year.
Klickitatsteelie:
This would be a very easy hunt. The buffalo are corralled up all winter and let free roam on one of the nations wildlife areas durning the summer months and early fall. My assumption is this hunt will take place late September early October before bird season starts and they are corralled back up. None the less it’s a guaranteed hunt for a freezer full of meat.
Rainier10:
One hunt is march 11&12 the other is march 14&15.  Each comes with a two night stay at the casino hotel. Both hunts are for a 6 plus year old bull and include field dressing and skinning.

My uneducated guess is that these are 2 different bulls that have been selected to be culled from the breeding herd. My guess is that you will accompanied by a member of the tribe to make sure they are the correct target. There will also be a backup gun to make sure that if you don't put the animal down. "They" will.

So what? This isn't a hunt. It's a shoot. Whether the tag holder finishes the animal or not, I doubt he'll get much satisfaction from the experience. At a minimum of $5K, you know it's not for the meat. Even if i had that kind of money to throw around (which I don't), this wouldn't interest me in the least. A guided, fair chase elk hunt? Absolutely.
