I don't think there will be much change in applicants, for elk guys are generally locked into where they hunt especially since you have to choose westside or eastside. Might see more guys jumping into archery or muzzy to try and get better odds. The tag quotas typically don't change much if any based on what is put out there hopefully guys write in supporting the higher numbers and we can get back to these better levels.

Good to see tag numbers bumped up but sadly the odds will still be complete garbage. Mainy of them might go from .1% to .2% with 15 points so from the odds aspect of it all, it doesn't move the needle at all in my mind.

I don't see many people changing their apps on a quality bull tag they usually put in for cause there may be 12 more in x gmu... But what do I know... Ran into a muzzy bull tagger last year a few times that didn't seem like he scouted or knew the area... :dunno: Every year I run into some cow taggers that drew on their 3rd or 4th choice and it's their first time stepping in the gmu...

To me this is more like getting excited for crumbs. They increased cow tags for most of the Yakima herds. I don't see a point in this. Leave cow tags around 75-100 for each weapon and continue to increase bull tags. It seems like the growth of the herd is going to be short lived and then we will get restricted again.

If the herd continues to grow transport the elk to the Blues and NE Washington don't just slaughter the cows....

Just checked them out... Well they sure cut the Clock down... Wonder what that has anything to do with? :dunno: The rest they could all bump up to at least 50 bull tags in quality muzzy and archery in the Yakima herds imo... We deserve a cut in small comparison to the tribes... These herds could more than handle that... Probably wouldn't get 30% success rate...
