Honestly, there are several really good hunting packs out there.  I went through three until I ended up buying the one I should have bought first.  My only advice would be to buy one with an internal aluminum or titanium frame.  I don't like plastic sheet frames or carbon.

You will find a lot of people that have tried a lot of packs and wound up with an EXO.

You will find a lot of people that have packs they say work fine.

What you won’t find many of are people that had an EXO at one point and now have anything else.

Packing heavy hauls of meat can be pretty brutal. Less so if you have the right equipment.

Hop on the EXO Facebook page and find a used one if new is out of the budget. You won’t regret it.
