Did this ice fishin at fish lake and it was real effective! Great fun for winter time fishing and fish tacos!

I've caught hundreds in Moses on my only one I own.  I can't find a new one in stores to replace the 15 year old rig.  The long shank make it nice to unhook and get back out fast when yarding them in.

There are a lot of ways to tie up your own multi hook rigs. Simplest is a couple dropper loops with hooks right on the loops. You can tie hooks right to the main line also.

Agree on the perch meat for bait. Nothing beats it, imo.

Fishing from shore I would probably go with a slip float rig, depending on water depth. While perch are active in winter, it seems like they're usually in deeper water. I've had better luck in shallower water later after spring warm-up.

Good luck!
GWP:
Perch meat makes good bait for sure.
The biggest perch I ever caught was trolling at 60' for 'not perch'. It fought HARD. Put it back in after thanking it.  :IBCOOL:

2" chrome Swedish Pimple 1- 7/8th long

Nickel is less resistant to tarnish than materials like chrome and will eventually lose its "lustrous" mirror-like finish through regular use.

Environmental Exposure: Exposure to water (especially saltwater), oxygen, and sulfur in the air causes the metal to develop a patina or tarnish.
Trapped Moisture: Storing the lure in a damp tackle box is the primary cause of rapid tarnishing and corrosion.
Chemical Reactions: Elements like sweat from handling or residue from bait can accelerate the oxidation process.

Maintenance and Prevention
You can maintain the shine of your nickel Swedish Pimple by following these care steps:
Dry Before Storage: Always rinse the lure with fresh water after use and ensure it is completely dry before placing it back in a tackle box.
Use Desiccants: Placing silica gel packets in your tackle trays can help absorb excess moisture and prevent rust or tarnish.
Protective Coatings: Some anglers apply a thin layer of clear nail polish or spray wax to create a mechanical barrier against oxygen and water.

Restoring Tarnished Lures
If your nickel lure has already begun to dull, you can restore its shine using common household or specialty products:
Mild Abrasives: A mixture of baking soda, dish soap, and vinegar can remove light tarnish.

Ketchup Trick: For metal-plated lures like the Swedish Pimple, soaking the lure in ketchup for 3–10 minutes and then rubbing it with a cloth can effectively remove oxidation.
