I use the golden rods in my safes and they are in temp controlled rooms. Never too much protection / insurance when it comes to protecting my investments. When I lived on the west side, they worked great. I do know some friends that had problems on the west side with surface rust. I also knew of a guy that the bottom of his safe got rusted out sitting in his home car garage. If I had a safe in my garage, I would have it off the floor with thin wood slats or a rubber mat. I would still bolt it down, but wouldn't want metal in direct contact with the cement. I may be a little paranoid though..... :chuckle: :chuckle: |
