Pictures or it didn’t happen. I hear this crap all the time and it’s just hype and bs. Shouldn’t be hard to get a picture of a track at a minimum but given the open country it should be just as easy to get a picture of the wolves. |

i've seen recent pics of wolves south of I-90 not far from there (like maybe 25 miles away. Not far for wolves.) Not my pics to share. But I wouldn't doubt wolves have found that place. |

First wolf I seen in Cowichie was about 30 years ago... I was 12... Modern deer... They were shorter and not as long as than the ones I seen in Chewuch... We seen a pack of 12... My dad couldn't believe his eyes and said we saw a sight not many people see in WA... Till now...He'd been hunting there his whole life and never knew about them... They popped out in the sage about 75 yards... I leveled off on a smokey grey one and my dad said don't shoot... Said he didn't think they were coyotes... I was so confused cause my dad the expert hunter didn't think they were coyotes?? Then they kept coming out and mingled around for a few minutes before moving off... And it was kinda obvious they weren't coyotes... There were blacks, tans, smokeys, greys, bluish... None looked like the standard coloring... My dad was just in awe... Could tell it made his hunt... He said the biggest ones were probably 75-80#... Seen a few more singles here and there over the years up into the 2010's after that of the smaller stalky ones... Their tracks are smaller to of course... And then I caught a glimpse of a big lanky one a few years ago in there... And another... And big tracks... And haven't seen a smaller track in years... So figure the little ones didn't make it... I'd much rather have those smaller stalkier ones... They were here well before the "reintroduction"... |

They are definitely in the area.. maybe not established but they are there. Even the GPS tracking portal shows wolves farther south than that. |
