Manulife Timberlands closed in NE Washington
Torrent50:
I knew about some changes in Idaho and that their land in Oregon was going to close after June 1st. But I hadn't heard or read anything about changes to northeast Washington. I'm glad I decided to call because my planned opening morning turkey spot is on a chunk managed by them.

They should start taxing the timber companies like they tax us when they charge for access or don't allow access at all. Almost 60% of WA's land is privately-held and most of that is timberland.

I’ve thought this exact same thing. If they are going to charge a bunch of money they lose their huge tax breaks. This change is really going to make it harder hunting public up there. Gonna be busy

Last fall was getting busy .
Yet I seen ebikes still going through a few gates.
Just wait till they figure out they can lease everything,East and west.
Don't sell access permits at all.
They money hungry, it will get worse .

They aren’t leasing crap imo, that’s why they are going to start selling permits in July for access to certain properties at 400 dollars a piece. Then they’ll probably lock permit holders out due to fire danger like they do in western wa.
