fishing question
« on: July 31, 2009, 09:30:23 AM »
Looking for  a fishing trip in late October-Nov for a friend coming out from the east coast and was wondering what runs around that time?
Also a guide for the same?

what kind of fishing where and how far do you want to travel. there's steelhead everywhere pretty much, salmon, great trout fishing, your options are endless. fall is a great time to be on the water.

That’s chum time in your neighborhood.  The Snohomish River has lots of chum in late Oct, early Nov.

i don't know anything about the peninsula but there's coho's in all the "s" rivers in october, then in november there's chums, but they're good for the fight and no good to eat out of the rivers. steelhead can be really good in those months too. if i had to choose a place to go steelhead fishing in october i'd go to the grand ronde or the deschutes in oregon.
gear fishing i assume?
i also don't really know of any guides to recommend. you  might talk  to hoytstaffshooter.

Probably one of the best guides out there is Mystical Legends Guide Service. He is hard working and seems to get fish, I would start there.

I second the "s" rivers for silvers around here.

In September and October We should be in full swing for salmon fishing in the Cowlitz and Lewis rivers. We are expecting RECORD setting runs this year. You might want to get a trip booked NOW. With limits of 6 audults and rumor of larger limits it is going to be off the charts for fishing and catching. If you want to catch huge numbers of good fish this is going to be the hot spot in the state.

send me a PM if you want to get hooked up with a great guide who knows these fish like no other.  Or if yer intrested in trading a trip I might be able to get you out in my boat or off the bank.

Is the taste of the bait worth the sting of the hook twice?
