a couple months ago a 300 lb black bear was digging in my trash, since i live in the middle of nowhere i was able to shoot it off my front porch, i live in the winston.

i did not get to call a bunch this yaer i was really busy with harvest, so no bear for me but i got a deer and elk and my late cat hunt starts tomarrow so i am hopin this is my year for a cat

I wish I had that problem. My year started out good helping killbilly and my wife with their spring tags. Then I saw a couple, including the one with a collar a few weeks before the season. And that was it. I only went out twice though so I am not complaining, just wish I had a chance to be picky. lol

I saw 45 of them this year but didn't pull the trigger. 

See, if 45 of us just follow Bone at a discreet distance.......our soup would taste alloy better.

I'd thought it was going to be easy to put a bear in the bag. Just a matter of intercepting and selecting a nice fat fluffy one on it's way to snack on volunteer apple tree wind falls. On the plus side did kill some time out beating the bush looking at sign. More time sitting in a lawn chair in the shade.

Suppose this hunting has one thing in common with fishing. Never know if the expedition is going to be a fishing trip or a boat ride until it's over. Empty handed hunter at least gets an armed walk in the woods.

Might be doing a european mount with my tag.
