BTW.....we just so happen to shoot the exact same bow. 

I've been hanging it that way for a few years now and it doesn't seem to give me any ill effects.  Of course I wear out a string about every 6 or 8 months, I try to shoot everyday.  I shoot less often in the winter because of the daylight or lack there of.  I guess I don't think an extra 4 lbs is enough to promote extra stretch? 

How do you like the Outback, I think I'm about ready to get rid of mine?  I really don't like the short valley with the Outback's cam.

I love my Outback!  I will say though they make hit hard to keep a bow for too long with a the new ones that come out every year.  But, the way I see it is if it works and has worked in the past....why change it.  I got mine 3yrs. ago this Christmas and haven't changed anything on it......yet.    Gonna change my site during the off season and that's it.

My style of shooting is to relax at full draw, the backtension guys would love it but it seems like it wants to take off on me if I relax at all. (it's worse at 65%, at 80% it's not bad)  Don't get me wrong I shoot it well and have been very successsful for the 4 years I've owned it.  It's kind of like driving someones new car, makes you want one, well I've shot a few of my friends bows and it gave me the bug.

YES!  Carrying probably isn't that bad for short times, but you will increase wear.

Has anyone ever relaxed(remove string) while storing the bow over the winter or is this something that is just not done?

I don't though I don't know if I should or not.  Obviously I do with the Tradbow, in fact remove it overnight when not in use period.

Bone thanx for letting me know. I keep my bow cased but I do ocassionaly carry it by the string. thanx again JB

Why do you cringe about my bow hanging by the string? The string is pre-stressed at 800lbs I have the bow set at 64lbs, It's hard to believe that adding an extra 4 pounds to the string is going to give me any additional stretch?  I've been hanging it that way for years and it has never shown any signs of wear, stretch or timing problems.  Of course I'm always open for input, if I'm missing something please expand.  Thanks.

That is a nice Muley. 2007 was my first hunting season and I didn't get anything. I wouldn't mind having that one as my first deer.
