No velvet here and already rutting hard.  DANG!  Gives me chills every time I hear a bugle.

Not one deer without.  Elk are at about 75%.  All the bigger ones seem to be shed.  I found a set of three trees today that were absolutely abused (reduced to NOTHING) and a wallow next to it that was phenomenal.  Awww the smell of elk piss in the morning.   He is a set of whities.  the picture isn't that good, not bad I guess since it was dark, but I like the critters.

Are you shooting these with different filters on the lense? That last photo looks a lot different than the one above it.

ALL nice though. Wish I was getting those photos.

The first one is completly unaltered.  Raw how it looked through the viewfinder with the sun about to set.  Nice when the sun is behind you.  The second one has the whitebalance altered onto it so it is "more pleasing" or natural to the eye.  I really do not like photo processing.  I like to see what I saw in person.  Some like touch ups.  I saw the black too......could be mud or flys.  Damn flies were eating me alive.

Sure was therapeutic to hear him rip a bugle or two.

The young guys just tried to stay out of his way.  This was his version of giving me the stink eye,

Here are three of the four bulls in one frame.  I thought I'd add them.  Bone didn't get to see the fourth, and I didn't capture him on film.  He was too quick.
