I have been seeing this email for the last year plus and they aren't from Washington.

If I had to guess I would say Banff, Alberta. But........... 

I agree. Elk everywhere in that town. We watched them lounging around in the infield of the ball fields and kids running around them when running to the next bases.

I believe those pics were taken in Estes Park, Colorado.  The elk and mule deer live in and around town, since it borders an elk sanctuary.
