i assume at this point that until i go elk hunting in the rut, this will be one of my favorite kinds of hunting. do whatever you can do to get out there and try it. if no one wants to go with you, go by yourself. watch videos, listen to tapes, surf the numerous turkey hunting forums. this is pretty much what i did the first year we hunted. you're bound to learn enough to do some damage. it's a great time and the people that don't think so haven't had a biglongbeard gobbling their head off at 15 yards in full strut. best advice is to be safe...turkey hunting can be dangerous if not taken seriously.
an elk hunt in the rut is a turkey hunt on steroids.

Well thats good to know.I was just looking through that pamplet and could'nt find anything about the broadheads either. Thanks for the advise.I'm excited to get out there.I've hunted elk in the rut and if it's any where close to that im sure it'll be a hoot!!

I didn't see anything either :dunno: Maybe I am wrong..it wouldn't be the first time!

It is a fixed broadhead so I would think they would be legal.
Legal or not, I have had many people tell me they are not what the TV makes them out to be. Tough to practice with, easily affected by the wind, have to shoot a longer arrow so you don't whack your sight, and much more I guess. A regular broadhead through the boiler should do the trick just fine.
The comercial is pretty sweet though, i'll give them that. Heads were rolling.

Does anyone have a picture of one? I saw them being used when I was in georgia but have never seen them up close. I know I heard somewhere that they were illegal to hunt with in washington. Just can't remember where I heard it.
