bucklucky's mounting it up for me and i cant wait. he did a quick score on it when i brought it down there but couldn't get some of the measurements since i had the cape rolled up and frozen up against the antlers. he got a gross of 130 7/8. he will have some deductions for a net score but i don't care, he's a hog

Good choice!!
I'll have to swing up to his place and check it out. I think I might pick up family pass next year and hunt that unit for a change. I also need some firewood so the hunting will be a bonus.

I spent all summer scouting and as much time during the season as I could.  I ended up with a nice tender 2pt. on the 30th of Oct.  That was the only legal deer I saw during season. This was my first year with a pass and I will be getting one for next year.  I just have not tracked down where these larger deer are.  But I did learn alot this year from the rubs that I saw.  I will keep at this winter to learn as much as I can about the area.  I wish I drew the elk tag!  I had not troubles finding large bulls all season long.  Had a 6x catch me off guard at about 30yrds behind some reprod as I was walking the edge of a clearcut.  He didn't stick around for a pic either.

just got done reading a article in washington/Oregon game and fish about the tree farms. they say that the kapowsin tree farm has hit hard times with deer and is not producing bucks. so don't buy a pass its not worth it. go hunt Vail, leave kapowsin alone theres no deer in there

Hell of a lot more deer in Vail, and it's free.   :)

You just don't get to look at bruiser bulls, get chances at bears with regularity, get firewood, and you have to walk in during the week to see the deer.

Vail is free if you want to hunt with 10,000 other people. I don't so I will pay the cost. In the 4 years I have hunted hancock only one time have I run into another hunter more then 100 yards off the road. Excption the walk in areas. Its open and lots of room to hunt with out being disturbed..

They should raise it to a 1000.00!!!!

But I guess I am going to be getting a pass this year coming up, with me being a solo parent for teh year there will be a lot of riding in the truck with baby girl, the less people the better.
