ive ate alota couger and it is def one of my favorites, theres plenty of good ways to cook it. i got an uncle whos a hound guy so he usually always has some at his place, lion paw soup is what he makes alot and its pretty damn good actually

So don't make jerky!  Who would make jerky out of pork?  Same thing for cougs.

No not an attack. 

Just seemed silly to back off from eating something you might harvest when 40 people say how good it is and one says something negative.  The  point was there are lots of things in the world that can make you sick, so you take precautions.  Bear can have the trichinosis worms as well.

The only people I might attack are ones that try to force their ethical beliefs on others.

I believe the mountain men refered to it as painter meat. I have read alot of books in which they said it was the favorite meat of choice for them.

Back in the 90's I drew a south Olympics cougar tag.  I talked to a houndsman named Drexal Stutsman from Hoqueim and he said to come stay with him and his wife in January and we could hunt every day . I was there for 3 weeks and had cougar for dinner almost every 3rd night because the other hunters he took out didn't want their meat. Let me tell you it was great every way the MRS. fixed it!. :drool:The weather didn't cooperate but I did get 3 bobbies...It was a great time.

Kids and old lady ate mine up. I didn't mind it, real similar to pork, same color, texture, and mild flavor. we also made jerky out of it.

I have heard it is good,  :)must be nice and clean. One thing is it only has to be 98.6  degree's to be safe to eat, not 160 like ground beef.

bobcat is supposed to be good also,but I just havent got to that point.And still have a problem with cat eating.A friend says the cougar is great...Ill try it after gutpile has some..
