I know its early...
« on: April 10, 2010, 01:03:53 PM »
I know its early but I wanted to see if there are any avid duck and goose hunters out there that would want to join my buddy and I when we start scouting again late summer. We generally hunt all over the Columbia Basin but are open to wherever. I think it would be fun to find some new places and make some new hunting buddies along the way. Best part is that if we all found new places together then there wouldn't be that dilemma of showing someone your honey hole. I was thinking that we could get together to play some golf, maybe go fishing or even just grab some beers and BS about hunting stuff. All in all I am going through withdrawls and need some new people to talk hunting with.

I live in North Bend and my buddy lives in Ellensburg. During the season, I usually take off right after work and stay at his place so that our drive is anywhere from an hour and a half to a little over two depending on where we go. I see you are from Spokane. I went to college at Gonzaga so I spent 4 years over there. I really like it there.

Yeah, I've lived here since 2005. Lots of good places here.

I grew up and still hunt the Chewelah and Colville areas for whitetail. I actually shot my first deer when I was 12 up in the Huckleberry unit. Shot my biggest buck so far up out of Colville a few years back too.

Duckaholic- We do actually hunt the Tri-cities too. We have a few public spots in Burbank on the river that we hunt. My buddy has also been working his ass off and it looking at buying a nice War Eagle boat. Our knowledge of the area isn't all that vast but the few spots we know of usually produce birds.
