Haven't  tried much hand calling.What's the difference in sound between the open reed and the other calls?Is one style better for a beginner?Call would be for bears.

practice on both but the closed reed is easier to pick up..come to the huntwa bbq and there will many demos going on and rick will have some calls here..he is damn good at what he does

the maple burl burl would make a great bear call. it will be tuned Raspy. eas to learn. check out my you tubes on bear calling it will help. or i can help over the phone. or at Rasbo's. Rick :IBCOOL:

Sounds good I can't wait to try it out.I put a lot of hours of calling in last year with a foxpro.Had birds and does come in like crazy but no preditors yet.It will be good to mix it up a little.
