Should be lots of snow by then. Are you going to approch it from the river?

Looking at the options right now and trying to decide. It looks like there may be a few options.

Congrats on the tag jackalope!  This has the potential to be a GREAT hunt!

Doesn't look steep at all from that pic.  Just a walk in the park.   ;)

I'd use the bow for the first week.  You'll be mad at yourself if you use a rifle on one of those rut crazed *censored*s.

1-The season's only 5 days long
2-I'd like to kill a big mule deer once before I decide to make it more difficult on myself...I'm ok if you want to call me a wuss...
3-I definitely won't be mad at myself this time anyway.

I've been telling myself lately I want 1 good buck with the rifle then I'll switch to the bow for everything.

I think you need some Hunt-WA members as scouts with flare guns..once the Brambies are spotted...LOL  a couple of guys with french horns to sound the start of the hunt..video crews from Muley Crazy..LOL...
Wild Turkey, Walleyes, Whitetails and Wapiti..These are a few of my favorite things!!

I have a question. a one and only tag with 4 points, does this make *censored* status?  :chuckle:

yes I guess it probably does.

Funny I was just looking at another thread (Dayton/Lickcrk pics) and came across this..a quote from jackelope to Bigbullballs.."*censored* and Points" are the keywords here...LOL

"BigBullBalls...you ought to get off your high horse. I suppose you were never an *censored* with 2 points, ehh? would you consider yourself an *censored* if you drew with 2 points? good gravy man, grow up!!"

That's a great picture above!  Looks like a good reason to buy some $1600 binos.

I have your back on this one it's the luck of the draw we have all been standing there with the short straw and we will be there again! You got lucky and I congat you! have awsome time and if you need help on that peola hunt feel free to ask ( just in case your not familiar will or have land up there!)  and don't go in the forest it's not open to your tag! ( Peola area ) :hello:

I know the Peola area and have land to hunt there, although I think I will be eating that one in lieu of the Tucannon late hunt. I don't have the time for both hunts and never thought I had a prayer of drawing a quality tag.
Thanks for the kind words.

p.s. Todd, I got some new boots.
