I read that the new Dodge 1500's are coming out with coil rear springs. I don't like it. Guess I will hang onto my 97. What are your thoughts? |

The last three trucks I have owned have been Dodge. The first was a Dakota and I took that thing no one should ever go. The second was a 1500. Great truck. I beat the living crap out of it. WHAT a machine. This one is more like a car. I don't like the wider tires blah blah. Just doesn't feel like a truck. Its 2004 I think. Anyhow, thinking about trying or going back to Ford. |

coils are great for offroad, they flex out real good. i dont know much about towing or anything. cant imagine itd be that bad. |

After driving nearly 42 years and owning a pile of trucks, cars and vans I've made a rule of thumb. I'll never buy a truck unless its a minimum of 3/4 ton. As far as coils on the rear go, GMC did that in 1972 cause I owned one. Piece of C-R-A-P not carp but bovine scat with a capital B and S. There is my very humble opinion. |
