One-Off's...
« on: March 16, 2008, 10:15:49 PM »
Here's a couple of the knives I've been doing to-order lately.

I had a couple requests for the palm skinner style knife, so here's on I did out of 3.5" Stainless Scandi with a custom drop point grind, Mycarta, Synthetic Bone, Mycarta, Silver Nickle, and Purpleheart with a touch of sapwood...

And here's the big dog! Silver Nickle, Custom Mosaic Lanyard Tube, Musk Ox, Leather, Musk Ox, Leather, Musk Ox, Leather, Musk Ox, with Silver Nickle pins throughout. It's built on a One-Off Provision Forge, Handmade Damascus Blade, forged and ground by Guild Member Bladesmigh Gene Martin. Every piece in this knife was amazing to work with, from the steel to the amazing Musk Ox! Here's some pics...

The coolest project ever, and it came out really, really good. My nicest piece thus far.

(Dont' ask me to do one for you unless you've already priced Musk Ox horn with this kind of figure to it. I hate to create sticker shock!)

Still going on To-Order knives, but I'm hoping to get some done for open sale soon!

Thanks guys!

Thanks Ice, Spent alot of extra time on that one. Only have a couple tiny pieces of that huge spendy Musk Ox slab left, so I was SUUUUUUUUUUPER careful to fit just right!

Dark last night, so I did the photo tent. Here's some natural light...

Those are some good looking knives. I was happy to receive my custom knife a little while back and it was top notch quality as well.

I ditto that.  Very happy to own one of your knives and hoping to get another soon.  I liked the mamoth tusk or whatever you had on there.  Still waiting for that e-mail.  You'll have to pm me with aprice on your first available musk ox.   Your work is GORGEOUS!

Rainshadow,

I have to say AWESOME work. I have a tender spot in my heart for Damacus and your example is VERY nice.  I had Gary Little buid me one when he was still in Washington and a few years ago had Peter Bromley build me a nice little caper.I like the look of that musk ox with the inserts.. so how far out are you on your builds? Might have to do a little raiding of the nest egg.........lol

Bob,

Crazy week going here, but the knife is essentially done. Iv'e got to polish out a couple blems on the ricasso from the build, then it's ready to be sheathed. So nice!
