Alright..back from deer camp..some more pics of my buck.  I kind of got lucky with the Muzzy.  First day..our area we were hunting got swathed :yike:...oh well thats farming..so needless to say the bachelor herd got bumped out of the area..but we figured they would be back.  Sunday was more promising.  I was hunting with a couple buddies and we spotted  a couple small 4 pts and 3 pts..off we went..spotting and stalking.

I took off after a nice 3 x 3..in my chase he led me back to the "bedroom" where the big guy was bedded.  He then stood up.  I went into stalk mode but could only get 174 yds.   I waited for a long time..finally they bedded back down..I was able to back out circle around and take my time sneaking up to the bedroom.  I left my shooting sticks back at the last spot. So I wrapped my sling around my forearm and slowly creeped up to where I thought the group was.  I stop and look..nothing.. take three steps..nothing lift my leg..movement to the immediate left at 50 yds..little 3 pt bolts out of cover...the other two bucks and the Big guy.. jump up not knowing what the little 3 saw..The big guy stands at 60 -75 yds broadside..I was so damn excited..my peep was all over that damn buck...I take a shot..and it sails over him..I am like  :yike:....so I had a ripcord loader on my neck..ripped it and loaded the next shot..I had a little brush to hide my movement.  I ram the load slam a cap on a nipple and the cap splits..at this point I have no time..I lift up the gun center the  peep..bam..drop the buck in his tracks.  AMAZING!   :yike:  I still couldn't believe it.  It was an awesome hunt.  I have to work the next two days.my buds are after a bigger one and I hope they get him.

That's what it's all about!   Great pics.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.
