New quiver
«
on:
September 14, 2011, 12:16:59 AM »
Well after my quiver dropped a handful of arrows over the last week
im lookin to replace it. I prefer bow mounted, and have been lookin at the apex nano bone collector but kinda see mixed reviews. Any suggestions? Im not against the apex yet, most the problems ive heard could be fixed with a little redneck know how
, be better and still look good. But want a few opinions. So hit me with what you got and as usual on here i expect some smart ass opinions.

i have a tightspot and love it. adjustable in every way, including arrow retention. some say they're spendy, but you'll never have to buy another one, and how much did you other accessories (or even your bow!) cost? with archery hunting sights upwards of $500 (trijicon) $120 for a quiver isn't bad! and they hug close enough to the bow to not negatively effect handling, with some saying they benefit balance! easy on, easy off... what's not to like?

wonderful thought. BUT, by sight is a dead nuts 2 six pin around $150, I WISH I had a trijicon, the trijicon however cost must about the same as my total set up would have without the sight (I looked it up, out the door at $660/w arrows, field tips, release, and field ready bow). that said I'm runnin a $20 alpine bear claw right now. I was kinda thinkin in the $50 maybe $70 range. $120 pretty sure my wife would hang me from the tree stand by my toe nails.

:bdid:She would find out, she is one of those cunning devious women. She would do things like ask me, then look at the bank account. not to mention she can read me like a Dr. Suess book. So it is easier to not try to hide it than to miss out on the things she would take after she found out, well take or with hold

In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

If you want to keep in the $50.00 range, I'd get an Alpine Soft Loc quiver. BTW, I agree that the Tightspot is very pricey for a quiver, but the way it rides on the bow is awesome. I can't tell any difference and do not have to make any hand changes shooting with or without the quiver on.

I as well would recommend the Alpine soft lok quiver. Have used the same quiver on 2 different bow over the last 5 years and it's never dropped an arrow and does not rattle when shot, and I take it on and off with every elk calling set-up. It's a very good quiver.
