measure this
« on: May 11, 2008, 10:44:46 AM »
The easiest way to field judge a mule deer is to sneek up behind them with your official Pope and Young measuring tape.  I hope to see this buck when I take the winner of the auction over.

notice... he hears me just fine.  Thats the cool thing about chasing bucks around in the woods.  Nice rainy days when you can get a picture to turn out worth beans, you see all the bucks.  The nice bluebird days they are all bedded by 10 am......good luck.

I saved almost all of  them all for you.  I never made it over with Miles.  Everytime I drove over there is snowed 6-9 inches the night before or while I was there.  Talk about gas prices.  I was desperate this spring but my timing couldn't be worse.   I was thinking about trying one more day, just in time for the ticks, but I'm not sure I want to with prices now 10 cents short of 4 bucks per gallon.  OUCH!

Here's another view of him.  I have a couple pics of him on here already, but just going through old files and playing with those I hadn't posted yet.

Then this guy was just up the hill....like 30 yards

Both were visible at the same time.  I was in heaven.  Sorry if the pics look like they have been on here before.  I took a whole bunch and have posted a few.

Just bought a house..so I'm laying low for awhile. Other wise I would be in the thick of the bidding.
