They finally saw a slight movement and pegged the noise of the camera to it. FULL attention. I have out waited deer before but these sheep would not stop staring! Wind was in my favor so they werent to uncomfortable...just watching waiting for a reason to bust.

I guess I took almost 300 pictures
whoops. Well hopefully you guys enjoy them! I sure did, I was extremely blessed with a clear day but enough high clouds to filter the sun for me. pretty sure if it had been as clear as the first four pics the glare of the sun would have lowered the quality. not real sure but it seemed to work for me taking these pictures....all pictures hand held 400mm Lens. sure felt heavy towards the end. my arms were shaking and I was sore from trying to hold so steady. closest ram probably 20 yards or less easy bow shots
like cake for a rifle haha
oh they never winded me either so they just pranced back to the other sheep bedded down and when I left I glassed the others still bedded down and these ones joined em and were feeding near them. I hate disturbing animals so it was nice to leave feeling I didnt ruin their day!

They are curious critters. A year or so ago I went out to sight in a rifle. Got out of the truck, and there was a herd of them looking at me 200 yards away. Set up my bench, and they were 100 yards away. went out and put up targets, and got back to the bench and set up to shoot, and they were 50 yards away. Touched off a shot and looked behind me and they were gone! Seems to me that animals like that are too dumb to be shot. Now Whitetails and Coyotes, That's another story!

Awesome pics! Thanks for sharing! Love to see pics of the critters that most people (myself included) can't get out to see everyday.
