Account deletion is not necessarily a request that is always granted. People have tried to use it for evading moderation and avoid attracting attention to their poor behavior in the past. I am not suggesting that is the case here...

If you're just wanting to change your user name, that can be done without deleting your account and starting a new one...

I'm actually just quoting a post that Ray made earlier in this thread. Bobcat is asking why you want your profile deleted for the reasons that Ray stated in that post that I quoted. We don't normally just delete profiles without a good reason.

We just don't like to delete accounts. If you need a break from the site, take a break. Don't log in for a while. We probably won't miss you.   :dunno:
 
Having an un-used account on here won't hurt anything.
