--- Quote ---A Lot of people have died trying to rescue their dogs from water.... you sound like you took a little too much risk in my book...

I wasnt worried myself about the water or tempertures.  I know this river and knew i wouldnt go too far down stream in worst case scenario.   I wasnt leaving my dog behind to venture his mistake on his own.  She is young and fearless those combinations are deadly for anyone.

After gathering my wits, my phone, wallet and jacket, I stripped off my shirt, emptied my boots of water and headed home for a nice warm shower.   I managed to make it to Kesslerings and retrieve my rifle.  All that went really well.

--- Quote ---Scary day and probably not the smartest thing he ever did but he knew mom would never forgive him if he came home without that damn dog.

:yeah:
One of my Wife's biggest fear everytime I head down to that river is exactly what happened.  She would never let me live that one down if I didnt return safely with that dog.

Michelle_Nelson:
I bet you didn't need any coffee to keep you awake this morning.  :chuckle:  Glad you were able to retrieve you pup.  :)

quadrafire:
That may be a good one to keep from "mom"
Glad all are safe and well educated now.
