Wood Duck Houses Installed Today
« on: April 03, 2011, 07:00:15 PM »
Jackmaster, his son(goose shooter) and I put up 3 wood duck houses today at his secret pond. They're the ones I put pics of on here a month ago. We finally had a dry day to do it. As you can see in the pics, they're mounted on posts driven into the lake bottom and braced. Doing this from the back of the boat is a little tricky, let me tell ya. LOL. One person holding the pole vertical while holding the boat steady. One person standing on the back seat using the tools and one person handing tools etc back and forth. Sure glad goose shooter wanted to help.
The one you can't see is mounted on a pretty good sized cedar tree growing out in the water. Mounting them out in the water should protect them from predators. Anyhow, had a good time doing it also. Thanx Jackmaster. Look forward to building the duck blind with ya goose shooter. Goose shooter in the pics.

I'm hoping you'll see some Woodys around em any time soon. It is April even though it's still cold and wet out.
