Senator Morten says it's dead, the democratic leadership did not bring it to a vote.
It's pretty frustrating, I put a lot of time into this issue, but this state is ruled by a bunch of ecohuggers who do not care about the issues in the rural areas of the state, problems will increase again and when enough pets, livestock and possibly humans have paid the ulimate price, then we will get action on cougar hunting again.
Just think of the upcoming wolf battles in WA over our draft wolf plan, this is not a good indication.

When Government turns a deaf ear to the needs of its constituants, through legislation or lack or action, it leaves honest citizens to fend for themselves. Fear of the law keeps most citizens under the Gov control, but the lack of common sense turns many into criminals... Quietly doing what thier government should, but lacks the will.

In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Dude this state needs a real good awakening ... They are not on our side ..nothen to do with the dept ..the government needs to step in and let the dept. regulate how each state regulates there hunting activities... why is Washington the worst ..Like I said many times over if everyone would just give up one year of not hunting or fishing I believe only then they would realize how important the sportsmen are to the state of Washington.. Now dont take this the wrong way because I know we are talking jobs here and all I mean by it is it will take something this dramatic to get some attention ......and as far as the hound issue goes they did not vote on it like Dale mentioned earlier.. and I heard rumor of them wanting to stop all hound hunting including coons .... So now what ..? you would think since the tribes have all these rights on hunting and fishing they could let us have something .. all we can hunt & fish ( Whatever )!

When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we shall become as corrupt as Europe .
Thomas Jefferson
Our state is run by the big cities. We are corrupt. They know nothing about managing wildlife. They feel they are more educated than us and need to guide us in the right direction. Sad situation.
