I screwed up and drew Cowiche early archery!
« on: June 15, 2011, 04:56:32 PM »
I could of swore I had Wenaha down as my first choice but according to WDFW it was Cowichie. Oh well I am more familiar with Cowichie anyways and also have some friends that hunt it religiously during the muzzle season. Looking forward to a great season!

Im sure it is, I was into the elk down there every day. Had a great time, could have taken home some smaller bulls but thats not what I was there for. I think the weather really screwed things up this year. Then again maybe it was just me cause I see plenty of others on this site got the job done on some dandys.
I had a nice opportunity on a big 6x6 at 50yds but he won that round. That why its called hunting and not shooting. All in all it was a great hunt, some awesome scenery from that unit and I think I probably saw the same black fox that Weatherbyfan posted in the photography section.
I think this year is gonna be exceptional for the smokepole guys down there!
Now im gonna have to wait till late season up here and go after this guy!

Next year I am putting in for archery out of state and smoke pole in state.  Should be putting some meat on the ground.  The only problem is I have an old 54 cal Remington muzzle stuffer.  Not sure if I should sell it and pick up a 50 cal.
